Bold prediction No. 2: Jrue Holiday will be an All-Star with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2022-2023
Being a Bucks fan and seeing how much better Holiday has made the team since his arrival, it almost seems like a crime that he has only made the All-Star team once. Even worse, by the time the 2023 NBA All-Star Game rolls around during the upcoming season, it will have been ten years since Holiday’s only All-Star Game appearance in 2013.
Holiday’s All-Star Game snubs could be coming to an end soon, as being on a contending team has helped boost his recognition. Not to say that every player named to All-Star teams is only there because of their name, but some get in solely because fans in the NBA like them. As Holiday and the Bucks became legitimate NBA contenders, NBA fans saw more of Holiday and made him more recognizable to casual basketball fans.
Holiday wouldn’t be making it in on his name alone, though. He has the stats to back it up. During the 2021-2022 season with the Bucks, Holiday held per 36 minutes averages of 20.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 7.5 assists per game. He scored efficiently, shooting 50.1 percent from the field and 41.1 percent from three.
Bucks fans have been clamoring for Holiday to make the All-Star team since he got to Milwaukee. Now it’s up to fans of the NBA to get him there.
