Bucks game tonight: Bucks vs. Rockets odds, injury report, predictions, TV channel for Oct. 22
By Lucas Valind
The Milwaukee Bucks had a thrilling finish in their season opener against the Philadelphia 76ers. After trailing for most of the game, the Sixers fought their way back into it and even took the lead at one point. Their comeback effort was all for not, as a late three and well-placed intentionally missed free throw by Brook Lopez late secured the 90-88 victory for the Bucks.
The Bucks will look to improve on their opening game victory on Saturday night against the Houston Rockets. Here is everything you need to know ahead of Saturday night’s battle.
Milwaukee Bucks vs. Houston Rockets: Odds, Spread, Over/Under
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Bucks are favored by 13 points against the Rockets at Fiserv Forum. The money lines for the game are set at -900 for Milwaukee and +640 for Houston if you’re into betting against your favorite team. The over/under for the game is set at 229.5, currently tied for the highest of any game on the day, with the Pacers and Pistons squaring off in Indianapolis. The odds favor the Bucks tremendously, so get to the books before the game if you feel good about the team’s chances against Houston.
Milwaukee Bucks injury report
The injury report will look the same for a while for the Bucks, with Joe Ingles, Pat Connaughton, and Khris Middleton all out for an extended period. Besides those three, the injury report is clear but could change leading up to game time.
Predictions for Milwaukee Bucks vs. Houston Rockets
These are two teams with fan bases that are excited about their teams for two opposite reasons. The Bucks are a team looking to get back into championship form this season after falling short in their quest to become repeat champions last season.
On the other hand, Rockets fans have young players to be excited about as they continue their rebuild. They might even hope the team will be in the sweepstakes for Victor Wembanyama and make their future that much better.
Despite the win, the Bucks likely aren’t satisfied with how they performed offensively against Philadelphia. The defense was tremendous for the Bucks, but the offensive execution wasn’t up to the standard that we’ve seen from them previously. I don’t see the Rockets’ current roster being much competition for the Bucks for this game.
I see this as a game where the offense for the Bucks starts to get back into the form we’ve seen them look under Mike Budenholzer the past few seasons.
Bucks 126, Rockets 102
