After taking a tough loss to the Miami Heat 108-102 on Thursday night, the Milwaukee Bucks were back in action on Saturday afternoon as they once again played the Heat.

The result wasn’t much better as Milwaukee was outplayed by the Heat 111-95. This loss is frustrating as Miami had the same players playing from the other night along with Milwaukee. While the Bucks were able to keep it within striking distance through the first three quarters, it wasn’t enough to overcome in the end. Milwaukee plays at home on Monday afternoon against the Indiana Pacers in celebration of MLK.

Before then, here are three takeaways from Saturday’s loss.

The Milwaukee Bucks did not play well in the fourth quarter in their blowout loss to the Miami Heat

The score going into the fourth was 77-71 in favor of Miami. Milwaukee cut it to a five-point game early in the quarter on a Jevon Carter three, but that’s when the wheels fell off. After that play, Miami went on a 13-0 scoring run, and the Bucks’ comeback attempt was thwarted.

Jevon Carter made that three with 10:03 left in the fourth. Milwaukee did not score another basket until Pat Connaughton hit a three with 6:49 left in the game. You will not win any game on the road if you have a scoring drought of almost four minutes of action. Milwaukee did not play well in stretches in Saturday’s game, but their defense kept them in the game. The fourth quarter came, and Milwaukee was outscored 34-24 and showed without Giannis Antetokounmpo carrying the offensive load, this team will have a tougher time filling the void on the offensive end.

While Milwaukee didn’t play well in the fourth quarter, it was positive to see A.J. Green hit two threes in the fourth. While this loss didn’t help, it will help make them better in future matchups against the Heat.
