A Serge Ibaka trade between the Milwaukee Bucks and Atlanta Hawks

This could actually be the deal that does get done if Milwaukee has any interest in Jrue’s brother. With reports that the Bucks are interested in other players, there’s a chance that veteran George Hill gets traded.

If Coach Mike Budenholzer still isn’t going to give Jevon Carter minutes in the playoffs, Holiday could be someone that runs the offense for a few minutes. There’s also a good chance that the Bucks acquire him and he never plays. While it would make sense to just let Carter be the man in charge of the second unit, it’s always uncertain if Budenholzer will allow that.

Milwaukee could go after Justin Holiday as he’s receiving DNPs, but that would require another player being added. Trading two players when the Bucks already have limited assets wouldn’t make much sense for a player like Justin Holiday.

Getting anything back for Ibaka at this point if it’s a player-for-player deal is a plus. Holiday won’t move the needle, but he’s a serviceable role player and is shooting over 40% from three-point range, despite low volume.

While he won’t play much, unless Serge is a salary filler in another deal, there’s a good chance the Bucks won’t get anyone back that will play real minutes. The Holiday brothers could be the second family pairing this season.
