The third Cam Reddish trade package between the Bucks and Knicks (and Suns)
In addition to Cam Reddish, another rumored target for the Bucks is Jae Crowder. Milwaukee has been trying to move mountains to get Crowder in various three-team scenarios, and this is yet another that could help them in their pursuit. To absorb what remains of Crowder’s $10.2 million salary on top of Reddish’s $5.9 million deal, the Bucks would have to send out quite a few pieces.
The Bucks would go about acquiring Reddish by doing the first proposal on this list, but they could rope the Phoenix Suns in to acquire another target on their wishlist. Despite Crowder requesting a trade before the season, the Suns have not traded him to this point. It seems like they have been holding out for a big fish to become available, but time is running out with February 9 approaching.
Having Crowder on the roster beyond the deadline would be a disaster, so if the Crowder market is dry, this offer by the Bucks would be a justifiable offering. Not only would the Suns get two future picks for Crowder, but Milwaukee could throw in a starting-caliber shooting guard in Grayson Allen and a young player in Jordan Nwora. Given that Crowder has not even played for the Suns during the 2022-23 season, that would be a quality return.
Allen’s $8.5 million salary would be crucial in a deal that involved both Reddish and Crowder for Milwaukee. Per Yahoo Sports’ Jake Fischer, Milwaukee has offered Allen and second round picks in multiple trade scenarios, so it would not be surprising to see him moved. If the Bucks do move Allen before the deadline, it would be reasonable to do so in a deal to acquire two targets they are interested in adding.
Stay tuned to see if Milwaukee’s trade pursuit of Reddish intensifies in the coming days.
