Rumblings of the Milwaukee Bucks’ interest in Bojan Bogdanovic linger

Although their interest in Crowder would signal that the Bucks are looking to fortify their defense, they have reportedly been looking at adding more offensive firepower as well. Matt Moore of The Action Network reported earlier this season that the Bucks were a potential suitor for arguably the hottest commodity at the trade deadline, Bojan Bogdanovic. It has been widely reported that the Detroit Pistons want an unprotected first round pick for the veteran forward.

Milwaukee’s interest in Bogdanovic makes sense. The power forward is averaging a career-high 21.1 points per game this season and has been on a tear offensively. Adding him in a lineup with Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Jrue Holiday would give the Bucks four scorers who are capable of going over 20 points on any given night. That goes without mentioning how strong of a 3-point shooter Bogdanovic is, which would only help him fit in even more. The fit with him is seamless, but it is unclear if Milwaukee would give into Detroit’s steep asking price.

The Milwaukee Bucks’ have had interest in two New York Knicks’ youngsters

In their pursuit of wing talent, the Bucks have reportedly looked into trading for Cam Reddish of the New York Knicks. Per Michael Scotto, Milwaukee has pondered the idea of trading a second round pick and salary filler for the 22-year-old forward. Reddish is bound to be moved within the next few days, as he has been benched for several weeks now, but the question is where.

Reddish does make some level of sense for Milwaukee. He’s a 6-foot-8 wing who has shown that he can defend opposing wings with some success. His offense isn’t anything to write home about, but this move would be about his defense. At 22 years old, Reddish would also add some youth to the oldest roster in the league, which this team could use. While it would not hurt for the Bucks to take a low-risk after in Reddish, they should wait until the Crowder situation is resolved. Perhaps Reddish could be the backup plan if Crowder ultimately goes elsewhere.

Scotto also reported previously that the Bucks were interested in Immanuel Quickley, Reddish’s teammate, but it appears he is staying in New York beyond the deadline.

Scotto mentioned that the Knicks have interest in trading for Grayson Allen. Could the Bucks make a move for Rose and Reddish using Allen? It is a long shot but not entirely impossible.
