The Milwaukee Bucks have made an offer for Eric Gordon

In an attempt to add a second unit sparkplug, the Bucks reportedly not only checked in on veteran guard Eric Gordon, but they also made an offer. Per Marc Stein (Subscription required), the Bucks offered four second round picks and salary filler for Gordon, which the Rockets turned down due to their persistence to get a first rounder for him. Milwaukee’s offering is certainly interesting.

Gordon’s fit with the Bucks would make sense, as he has typically been a rather reliable scorer and shooter. However, that has not been the case this year, as he is averaging 13.2 points per contest this season, which is a new career low. Gordon has not looked like himself, which may cause one to question why the Bucks offered four second round picks for him, especially when they take into account that he also makes nearly $20 million. It remains to be seen if the Bucks’ offer for Gordon was a one-time thing or if they are still dangling it out there.

The Milwaukee Bucks are looking into some mystery wings

Between Crowder, Reddish, and Gordon, it is clear that the Bucks are looking to get more wings on their roster. Those have been the three names most commonly mentioned, but there are certainly more out there behind the scenes. On a recent episode of ‘Please Don’t Aggregate This,’ Yahoo! Sports’ Jake Fischer mentioned that he was told the names of a few wings the Bucks are looking into who he could not mention by name. He mentioned that Milwaukee wants defensive-minded wings who make somewhere around $10 to $13 million.

Immediately after hearing this, two names that came to mind were Kelly Oubre Jr. and Josh Hart. Both players have been mentioned in trade rumors, albeit not directly linked to the Bucks. Still, it would not be surprising if either of these two were on Milwaukee’s radar, given that they are both known for their solid defense. There are bound to be more names out there, but these are just a pair of guesses as to who the Bucks might be trying to acquire here.
