3 post trade deadline buyout targets for the Milwaukee Bucks to monitor – Patrick Beverley

A lot of the same statements regarding Reggie Jackson can be applied to Patrick Beverly from a fit standpoint. The Bucks need another point guard, and Beverley would fit the bill. The veteran was sent from Los Angeles to Orlando before the deadline, and Minnesota Timberwolves insider Dane Moore reported that multiple teams will be interested in the guard if he is bought out. The Bucks should undoubtedly be one of them if a buyout comes to fruition.

Hypothetically adding Beverley would be a defensive-minded move by the Bucks. The guard has earned three All-Defensive nods in his career and has cemented himself as one of the best guard defenders in the league. Given Milwaukee’s desire to always improve defensively, Beverley would fit right in. A three guard rotation of Jrue Holiday, Jevon Carter, and Patrick Beverley would be quite a sight to see on that side of the ball. Beverley would not bring much offensively, but he has been a solid shooter throughout his career, having hit 37.6 percent of his triples, which would help.

Beverley just seems like a player the Bucks would love to have. He’s not afraid to do the dirty work and take on tough matchups whenever called upon. As far as third guards go, it would be difficult to complain about this if it were to happen.
