3 underrated buyout candidates the Milwaukee Bucks should consider- Stanley Johnson

Another well-traveled option for the Bucks is Stanley Johnson. The one-time University of Arizona product played in 30 games for the Spurs before being waived on February 12. Johnson averaged 5.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists. In limited action, Stanley Johnson shot 45 percent from three and 53 percent from the field.

Johnson is more known for his defense, as he is a player who puts in a lot of effort on the defensive end. He would compliment Khris Middleton, Giannis, Jrue Holiday, Crowder, and Lopez well with his defensive prowess. At 6-foot-6, he is listed as a small forward and is a guy who could play the Wesley Matthews role by guarding the opposing team’s best wing player.

Johnson also had a solid year for the Lakers last season, averaging 6.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 48 games played. He’s a guy who can fill a bench role, and Milwaukee had an interest in him in the past, as he was originally traded to Milwaukee in 2019 before Milwaukee rerouted him to New Orleans in the Nikola Mirotic deal.

It will be interesting to see if the Milwaukee Bucks try and fill that last roster spot with an underrated wing player.
