The Milwaukee Bucks have a spot open to sign a player on a two-way deal following the surprise release of 23-year-old Sandro Mamukelashvili.

Having this spot open allows the Bucks to sign a member of the Wisconsin Herd, their G-League affiliate to a two-way deal. Having promoted their talent from the Herd in recent seasons, this may see the Bucks continue that trend.

Despite the Herd having a record of 8-15 this season, there are positives to take from this. Per the G-League, the Herd are second in 3-pointers made with 341 and have the third highest percentage of points scored from 3-point range at 37.8 percent. With that said, here are three members of the Wisconsin Herd the Bucks should sign to a two-way deal.

3 Members of the Wisconsin Herd the Bucks should sign to a two-way deal – Lindell Wigginton

Lindell Wigginton signed a two-way contract with the Bucks in January of 2022 and would be an ideal candidate once again should the Bucks sign a Herd player. He already knows the coaching staff and the players, so he would see no time having to adjust to a new locker room. The experience of last season would only help him grow to potentially sign a standard contract further on in his career. He would provide some guard support if called upon with both Jrue Holiday and Jevon Carter playing plenty of minutes down the stretch.

In his 19 appearances last season with the Bucks, he averaged 4.2 points per game, 1.2 assists per game, and 1.3 rebounds per game. In the final game of the 2021-22 season against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Wigginton scored 18 points and also registered eight assists, three rebounds, and a steal. He shot 46.7 percent from the field in that same contest.

According to the G-League stats, the 6-foot-2 guard leads the Herd in scoring among players to appear in at least five games, averaging 22 points on 44.3 field goal percentage and 38.3 percent from three. Averaging 2.8 threes-per game is impressive and will aid the Bucks, should he be signed to a two-way deal.

It will be interesting to see if the Bucks bolster the guard position.
