3 Wisconsin Herd players the Bucks should sign to a two-way deal – Elijah Hughes

The final option is a player that has spent time with four different NBA franchises over the last two seasons but has played well for the Herd in the G-League. A 6-foot-5 shooting guard, Elijah Hughes has been around plenty of NBA locker rooms in recent seasons, so a move to a two-way deal for him will not be a shock to the system.

Hughes is averaging 16.2 points on 42.7 percent shooting while hitting 3.1 threes per game. These stats are much higher than those during his time in the NBA, and perhaps a two-way deal would allow him to grow. Having shooters is key to the Bucks and down the stretch. If players are rested for the playoffs, someone like Hughes can come in and provide spacing but also make the shots from deep.

Grayson Allen has played a lot of minutes at the shooting guard position this season and might be rested down the stretch. Hughes could be a guy to come in and fill the role of Allen, providing a threat on the perimeter for when the defense collapses and he has shown in the G-League that he is able to hit the deep shots.
