Who should the Milwaukee Bucks sign with their final roster spot? – The case for external options
It would be somewhat surprising if they did, but the Bucks could look to sign a free agent to fill the 15th spot on their roster if they so desired. As highlighted when discussing Meyers Leonard in one of the previous sections, this team should have another big man on its radar.
If so, one household name that would make some sense is Nerlens Noel, who was recently waived by the Detroit Pistons. Noel recently signed a 10-day contract with the Brooklyn Nets but could be a quality option for the Bucks in their search for more big man depth once that expires. Noel would provide interior defense and would be a passable third-string center behind Lopez and Portis. To a lesser degree, Greg Monroe, Tony Bradley, and Moses Brown could also be solid options to fill that 15th and final spot.
At the end of the day, any player the Bucks sign will not be expected to be a prominent contributor. This would be all about depth. Noel would be a homerun signing, but as alluded to previously, any external signing would be quite surprising for the Bucks at this point, though not impossible.
