The Milwaukee Bucks have been on a torrid stretch of late winners in 19 of their last 21 games which includes a 5-2 start in March with wins against Orlando, Washington, Orlando, and losses coming against the Philadelphia 76ers and Golden State Warriors.

Milwaukee this month is a team that looks like a dominant force in the Eastern Conference with depth and skill position players more skilled and talented on this year’s team than last year’s team with the additions of Jae Crowder, Joe Ingles, have helped shore up the depth issues that Milwaukee had last season.

Milwaukee is sitting pretty at 48-18 which includes a 5-2 start in March. So who have been the three guys having a solid month of March thus far?

3 Milwaukee Bucks currently having a big month of March – Jevon Carter

This is the one offensive output I did not see coming before the season started.

Jevon Carter, in March, is averaging 12.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in six games. Last season, Carter was known as a guy who can hit open shots, and play ball-hawking defense but this season, he’s improved his outside shot while still being an elite defender.

Carter has recently had two performances in March that should only increase his confidence. Last Sunday against the Washington Wizards, he scored 20 points and two rebounds. He shot 6-of-10 from three in 22 minutes of action as Carter took advantage of the Wizards’ middling 3-point defense. Carter did one better Tuesday night filling in for Jrue Holiday in the starting lineup by dropping 24 points, two rebounds, and five assists in 35 minutes of action.

Carter’s numbers are interesting because he’s put solid point guard numbers against middling teams and elite point guard numbers against the Spurs (21.0 points) and OKC Thunder (27 points).

The month of March is long, but it’ll be interesting to see if Carter can string together some key performances down the stretch.
