3 Milwaukee Bucks who need to dial in before the 2023 NBA Playoffs- Jevon Carter

This is the one I’m curious about.

With Goran Dragic making his debut the other night against the Detroit Pistons, will Jevon Carter’s role change at all? It’s unlikely. This postseason will likely be Carter’s first shot to see regular postseason minutes after he lost minutes to George Hill last postseason.

How has Carter been this year? Well, against the Oklahoma City Thunder, he’s an elite point guard (He’s averaging an astronomical 27 Points against OKC), but against everyone else, he’s been above average.

Carter, this season, has averaged career-highs in points (8.1) and minutes played (22.3). You knew about his defensive acumen, but he’s stepped up offensively this season.

Carter recently had a 22-point performance against the Detroit Pistons, and while he’s been solid, Orlando and Detroit aren’t going to the playoffs this year, so with games remaining against Boston, Philadelphia, and Memphis, can he put together a 15-20 point performance against one of these top teams.

Carter, in this home stretch, will be an x-factor for Milwaukee because of his improved offense and gritty defense. A few solid performances for Carter down the stretch will give him added confidence going into the postseason.

Next. A 60-win season is still a possibility for the Milwaukee Bucks. dark

It’ll be interesting to see how Carter fares in a key role in the postseason.
