3 Milwaukee Bucks that must step up with Grayson Allen injured- Jevon Carter
This may seem a harsh choice, as Jevon Carter has been exceptional this season, but hear me out. It is more so to do with the increase in minutes he is likely to get and that more responsibility will come with that if Allen misses more time.
Carter is averaging eight points and a steal, making him and Jrue Holiday one of, if not, the best defensive backcourt in the association. Like Allen, Carter is deadly from 3-point range and is shooting 42 percent from deep.
He is playing 22 minutes per game but with Allen out, he may jump into the starting lineup and see that number hit the 30 mark. The other bonus that Carter has is he will be able to take on any defensive assignment thanks to his All-Defensive skillset, thus allowing Jrue Holiday to save energy and have a greater impact on the offensive side of the ball and we have seen what Holiday can do when he leads the offense.
Once again, this may be a harsh choice but expect to see Carter spending more time on the court, leading to more shots, in particular from deep, and be the Bulldog we know he can be on both ends of the floor.
