5 Players the Milwaukee Bucks should be eyeing in any Jrue Holiday trade
By Landon Swan
Jordan Poole, Golden State Warriors
Trading for Jordan Poole is an intriguing option that the Bucks could explore. At just 23 years of age, Poole has been an integral part of a championship roster and is a very talented three-level scorer, averaging 20.8 points in the 2022-23 season. He’s got plenty of room to grow, and the Bucks need a huge dose of youth after having the NBA’s oldest roster this past season.
After a rough postseason, the Warriors may be looking to move on from the rising star. At times, Poole became unplayable due to his poor defensive play, but playing alongside defensive-minded players like Antetokounmpo and Lopez could mitigate the issues that would arise. In addition, Poole is a Milwaukee native, so I’m sure that Poole would love to represent the team that he grew up watching.
As most young stars are, the guard’s play can become erratic and out of control at times. The Bucks being a championship-contending team, erratic play can make players and fans cringe, however, when Poole gets his shot going, it seems as if he is shooting into the lake. Acquiring the Warriors combo guard would give the Bucks another gifted scorer, alongside Antetokounmpo and Middleton, while building some foundation for the future as well.
