The verdict on whether or not the Milwaukee Bucks should trade Jrue Holiday

There is definitely a spot for Jrue Holiday on the Bucks, and what he has brought to the franchise in his time here has been huge. Let’s not forget that the Bucks had a great regular season with the league’s best record despite being without key players for large parts of it. That is hard to just move away from.

Sadly, it may be time to move on from Holiday or Middleton. With both now in their 30s and on large contracts, the Bucks’ future may be hindered if they find themselves tied down to those contracts and struggling to shift them when looking to freshen up the roster. As mentioned, the team needs to get younger, and with very little assets or money, it may be one of the starters that Milwaukee has to move on from.

The big question is what the Bucks can get in return for Holiday. They would need someone that can replace his offensive output without taking away from the defensive side too much. He still has so much upside, and whether it is with the Bucks or elsewhere, he still can be a valuable piece to a successful team.

It would be hard to see Holiday leave, but with the financial situation and age of the roster, it may become a reality soon if a team offers something inviting.
