The Milwaukee Bucks last season led the NBA in rebounding with 3,988 rebounds, an average of 48.6 boards per game. That’s two more per game than the Memphis Grizzlies, who were second in the league in this stat.
The Bucks also led the league with 3,074 defensive rebounds and were 11th in the league in offensive rebounds with 914.
The most rebounds in a game for the Bucks in 2022-23 was 73 in a 104-101 overtime win over Toronto on January 4. Just 10 days later, they had their lowest rebounding total of the campaign with 32 in a 111-95 loss to Miami.
This was the fifth straight year that the Bucks led the league in defensive rebounds and the third in their last five years for the team to lead the league in total rebounds, per Basketball-Reference.

The Bucks were 0-2 in the Heat playoff series when they had under 40 rebounds. That means that for the 2022-23 season, regular season, and playoffs, the Bucks were 1-9 in games when they had fewer than 40 rebounds.
