Milwaukee Bucks free agent target No. 2 – Troy Brown Jr.

With the additions of Andre Jackson Jr., Chris Livingston, and Omari Moore on draft night, it’s clear that the Milwaukee Bucks want to beef up their wing depth. If they want to keep going, one player they should call in free agency is Troy Brown Jr. The wing just finished up a productive season with the Los Angeles Lakers and will likely have several suitors.

Brown would fit like a glove in Milwaukee; he’s a 6-foot-6 forward who can be a pest defensively. With both of Milwaukee’s top wing defenders in Wesley Matthews and Jae Crowder set to hit the free agent market, the Bucks may need a replacement, and Brown would fit the mold. Offensively, Brown has never put up the flashiest numbers, but he’s a fine enough perimeter shooter that he could be a factor for the Bucks.

Another reason the Bucks should go after Brown is the financial aspect. Though he did just have a solid year, the small forward likely will not command a lot on the open market. If so, Brown makes perfect sense for the Bucks in their quest to add more youth and rotational wings. Some fans may argue that they don’t want someone taking minutes away from the younger Bucks, but in today’s NBA, a team can never have too many wings.

At 23 years old, Brown still has plenty of room to grow and could be a hidden gem for Milwaukee.
