Milwaukee Bucks free agent target No. 3 – Lonnie Walker IV

If the Bucks are doing their due diligence on Lakers players like Brown, they might as well check in on Lonnie Walker IV as well. The guard is coming off one of the best seasons he’s had throughout his five-year career, and if he’s looking for a new home, some team could get a solid player.

Walker checks off a lot of the same boxes as Milwaukee’s recent draft picks; he’s an athletic guard who can jump out of the gym and defend a slew of different positions. Walker is a better scorer at this time, having averaged 11.7 points over the past three seasons. He’d fit in nicely in Milwaukee, giving the team an athletic guard who will use that characteristic to his strengths. The Bucks need more scoring off of the bench, and Walker would bring that nightly.

The one big hurdle when it comes to the Bucks potentially going after Walker could be his financial demands. After playing this past season on a “prove it deal” with the Lakers, Walker may be on the hunt for a big payday this off-season. There are certainly other guard-hungry teams who are able to offer Walker more money than Milwaukee. Still, they should kick the tires on the 24-year-old.
