Important Milwaukee Bucks’ rumors on day 2 of 2023 NBA Free Agency

NBA Free Agency officially kicked off on June 30, and the Milwaukee Bucks were certainly involved.

The Bucks kicked things off by re-signing Khris Middleton to a brand new three-year deal worth a tick over $100 million. Elsewhere, they lost a pair of rotational players in Jevon Carter, who went to the Chicago Bulls, and Joe Ingles, who went to the Orlando Magic. Day two is now ongoing, and the Bucks are involved in some eye-catching rumors.

First and foremost, everyone is still waiting to hear what’s going on with Brook Lopez. Jake Fischer of Yahoo! Sports reported that the Houston Rockets are a prominent suitor and could exceed the rumored two-year $40 million deal they had reportedly been offering Lopez as they look to steal the big man away from the Milwaukee Bucks. It’s unclear how much the Bucks are offering.

Elsewhere, The Athletic’s Kelly Iko (Subscription required) has reported that Dillon Brooks had a meeting with the Bucks. This one is interesting, as all signs point to Brooks commanding a deal far greater than what the Bucks can offer. It would be pretty shocking if the forward took a cheap deal to play with Milwaukee, but if so, the Bucks should not complain whatsoever. Brooks was just named an All-Defensive wing this past season and can bring some tremendous versatility on the defensive side of the ball.

Sticking with the wing, ESPN’s Mark Jones has reported that the Bucks also have some interest in adding Terence Davis. The 26-year-old wing isn’t as much of a household name as Brooks, but he would bring some depth to the forward position while providing solid scoring and shooting. If it’s a team-friendly deal, it wouldn’t be the worst move for Milwaukee, but they should get everything sorted with Brooks first, as he’s certainly one of the bigger fish on the market right now.

More rumors are bound to flood in as the day goes on, but these are the three key ones currently making the rounds across the NBA landscape.
