Free agent point guard target for the Milwaukee Bucks – John Wall

If the Bucks are looking for nothing more than name-brand recognition, there’s no close second to John Wall on the free agent market. The five-time All-Star remains unsigned after a turbulent year this past season. However, he’s reportedly looking to make it into a roster this coming season, as TNT insider Chris Haynes has reported that Wall had a workout on Sunday for several teams. It’s unclear if the Bucks were in attendance, but they should have at least checked in.

Even if Wall is not the player he once was, he can surely help a team in some way, shape, or form. For the Bucks, he’d give them an experienced pure point guard who would take pressure off of the other ball-handlers, such as Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Jrue Holiday. The Bucks have suffered from a lack of a pure point guard over the past couple of seasons, and adding Wall is a move that would help them eradicate that issue. Even in his least productive season to date this past season, he still averaged 5.2 assists per game.

If Wall is willing to take a minimum deal to continue his playing career, it would be the definition of an incredibly low-risk move for the Milwaukee Bucks to take a flyer on him.
