5 Milwaukee Bucks who could surprise fans during 2023-24 NBA season: Andre Jackson Jr.

As a rookie second round pick, the expectations for Milwaukee Bucks’ guard Andre Jackson Jr. are not through the roof. However, the 21-year-old could see some legitimate minutes for the team in 2023-24 as Coach Adrian Griffin seems keen on utilizing Milwaukee’s youth. Having traded up to acquire him in the draft, the Milwaukee Bucks clearly believe in Jackson’s potential.

The biggest reason why Jackson could see playing time next season is his ball-handling abilities. As it stands, the Bucks do not have a legitimate backup point guard on the roster, which is full at the time of this writing. Jackson’s ball-handling and facilitating were among his strengths at the collegiate level, and the Bucks could utilize him in that backup point guard role because of it.

Jackson could surprise fans due to the impact he may have. Not only could he be the makeshift backup point guard, but he will also be a huge piece defensively, given that he’s a 6-foot-6 wing who is extremely athletic. The Bucks have lacked a player who checks off those boxes recently. Jackson’s two-way impact could make a major difference off of the bench next season.

If he can provide facilitating and tough defense, Jackson could quickly become one of the biggest steals of the 2023 NBA Draft.
