The NBA season is edging closer, and the Milwaukee Bucks are still yet to make a trade. With the FIBA World Cup occupying the eyes of the basketball world, trade rumors are still rife within the NBA community.
Following last season’s disappointing end to the season, the Bucks have brought in a multitude of rookies to bring more youth to the team. They have also added big man help with the experience of Robin Lopez and a great improvement in the shooting department with Malik Beasley.
Pass or Pursue Bleacher Report’s 3 trade targets for the Milwaukee Bucks
On Monday morning Bleacher Report released an article imagining every NBA team’s top three trade targets right now. Without ruining the article, B/R is clearly looking at the Bucks adding more guard depth to their roster, which I think is the area needing the most improvement.
There are a plethora of shooting guards or players that can play shooting guard on the roster, but behind Jrue Holiday there is very little in the way of point guard play. The plan may be for Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo to facilitate more and bring the ball upcourt, but an extra specialist point guard would definitely be of use for the Bucks.
One of the article’s main points was regarding Giannis’ recent comments about an upcoming contract extension and that the franchise should be all pushing for another championship.
The roster is currently at 15 players so would need to move players on the roster to acquire some fresh faces. At the moment though it looks like the front office is happy with their 15-man and once the World Cup is over, Adrian Griffin and his team will start to focus more and fine-tune the team’s tactics.
With all that being said, let’s take a look at who Bleacher Report has picked out as the Bucks trade targets and whether or not they should pass or pursue.
