5. Los Angeles Lakers – LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Austin Reaves

The Los Angeles Lakers season may not have been pretty, but they made it to the postseason through the play-in as the seventh seed. They then went on to beat the Memphis Grizzlies before falling 4-2 to the Warriors in the Western Conference semis.

LeBron and Davis here are clearly obvious as a duo, but Austin Reaves has begun to emerge as a player to be taken seriously on the Lakers roster. In the regular season, he averaged 13 points but only started to see the floor towards the latter end of the season. In the playoffs, he really picked it up, scoring 16.9 points per game with over four rebounds and four assists per game.

Reaves is a nice combo guard who can work on all three levels and is solid defensively. We know what LeBron brings to the game and AD, when healthy, is a top-five player easily with his elite skills on both ends of the floor. They were nearly unstoppable with all three of them playing together, and with Reaves now the locked-in shooting guard, they have all they need to succeed.

If they keep all three healthy and have a complimentary roster around them, the Lakers can be a serious threat next season.
