Leading up to the 2023-24 NBA season, fake trades have been coming in left and right involving the reigning Central Division champs, the Milwaukee Bucks.

For the second consecutive trade idea article, Bleacher Report has proposed a deal between the Milwaukee Bucks and Chicago Bulls. In the latest piece, Zach Buckley created a trade for everyone in the association, and their idea for Milwaukee was another… interesting deal. Something about the Bucks and the Bulls gets these Bleacher Report writers thinking.

With all of that said, let us take a look at the trade proposal itself from Buckley before breaking it down entirely.

The trade proposal from B/R between the Milwaukee Bucks and Chicago Bulls

The trade proposal itself is pretty straightforward, as it’s a two-for-one for the Milwaukee Bucks. Milwaukee would send out starting shooting guard Grayson Allen and second-year small forward MarJon Beauchamp while also including a first rounder in exchange for Alex Caruso. There would be a lot of role players on the move here, though they would not have to travel too far.

There were some rumors about Caruso being available leading up to the NBA Trade Deadline this past season, but the Bulls had a steep asking price for the guard. Per Yahoo Sports Jake Fischer, the Bulls were seeking two first round picks for Caruso. Nobody bit, and this deal would carry on that trend of not giving up two first rounders, but perhaps it’s something Chicago would consider.

With that said, let us dive into this trade head first by breaking down each team’s perspective and then handing the deal a letter grade.
