Over the last several days, most discussion amongst Milwaukee Bucks fans has revolved around Buddy Hield of the Indiana Pacers.
The Bucks were linked to Hield via The Athletic’s Shams Charania, who reported they were among a few interested suitors. Prior to that, Charania had also reported that Hield and the Pacers have opened up dialogue on a potential trade for the guard due to a standstill in contract negotiations – Hield has one year left on his current deal.
It seems like a good majority of Bucks fans are on board with the idea of getting Hield, though the fans have gone back and forth as to what is a fair offer. The Bucks have some interesting players and assets that could be moved in such a trade, but there is also one particular player who has to be listed as off the table in any potential Hield deal.
With that said, let us look at the untouchable player as well as three others who could be involved.
Grayson Allen could be involved in Buddy Hield trade talks for the Bucks
If the Bucks make any trades this season, Grayson Allen will almost certainly be moved to another team in said deal. The guard has consistently been involved in trade rumors over the past year and change, and it wouldn’t be shocking if that trend continued this coming season, especially in a deal for Buddy Hield.
The idea here would be to land an upgrade over Allen at the starting two-guard spot, which Hield absolutely would be. With an expiring $8.5 million salary this coming season, Allen, who could be viewed as a good addition for a team looking to add more perimeter shooting, has an easy salary to digest. He should be a key cog in any Hield trade packages.
