The 2023-24 NBA season is almost here, and the Milwaukee Bucks have been a huge talking point over the past few weeks.

Expectations for the Bucks are currently through the roof following a recent blockbuster trade, and fans have not held back with their hot takes. Wanting to find some of the hottest takes, I asked an excited Milwaukee fanbase for some of their hottest takes on the 2023-24 Milwaukee Bucks, and here are my responses to some of them.

Reacting to Milwaukee Bucks hot takes

“Dame leads the league in assists” – @NworaVibes

Right off the bat, I like this one. Lillard has always been a fantastic facilitator, and he’ll have plenty of pieces in Milwaukee who will thrive off of his tremendous passing ability, especially a handful of players on the perimeter, like Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez, and Malik Beasley. Oh, yeah, the guard will also have Giannis Antetokounmpo, and he’ll get plenty of assists courtesy of him. Nice take.

“Dame winning MVP this year” – @brewcitypaul

Now this is a HOT take. Though Lillard could undoubtedly be among the best players in the world, this will likely be a situation similar to those Golden State Warriors teams with Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, where they were always good but never got any individual recognition due to how much star power was on the roster. Lillard’s numbers could very well be MVP-worthy, though.

“Dame is going to break the single-season Bucks 3 record by 100+” – @LOWENDTAY_

The current record for 3-pointers made in a season by a Buck is Ray Allen with 229 in 2001-02. The most Lillard has made in his career was 275 in 2020-21. Beating that record by 100+ would mean that Lillard would have to have a career year shooting by far, but with all of this spacing, it’s certainly on the table, though Lillard will have to be dead on almost every single night.
