While there had been some debate over the past several days, it did feel like the Milwaukee Bucks would ultimately end up signing Ryan Rollins to a standard deal.

Indeed, per ESPN's Shams Charania, the Bucks are giving Rollins a promotion, moving him up from a two-way player to a standard player. Initial reporting indicates that the deal is only for the rest of this season, but time will tell what the numbers come out to be when the numbers are made official.

Not only did the Milwaukee Bucks beef up their backcourt with Rollins, but they wasted no time at all filling his former two-way slot by adding another young guard into the fold.

Bucks add Ryan Rollins and Jamaree Bouyea to their backcourt

Moments after reporting the Rollins news, Charania added that Jamaree Bouyea was also on his way to join the Milwaukee Bucks, though he would be on a two-way deal.

Bouyea now joins a two-way room with Stanley Umude and fellow Bucks newcomer Pete Nance.

Bouyea, 25, has spent his season down in the G-League with San Antonio's affiliate, the Austin Spurs. In 17 performances, he's averaged an eye-popping stat line of 19.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.1 blocks per game. In a stat line full of them, the most interesting number is that he averaged 1.1 blocks as a 6-foot-2 guard, highlighting some legitimate defensive instincts.

Unlike Rollins, Bouyea likely won't spend too much time with the Milwaukee Bucks over the next few weeks. With the G-League season still going strong, Bouyea will likely head to Oshkosh to join the Wisconsin Herd, where he can get some legitimate reps. If he performs well down there, the Bucks could take a closer look at him and contemplate bringing him up.

Ultimately, these are not game-changing transactions, but it's nice that Ryan Rollins, who has put himself on the line for much of the season with an injured shoulder, got himself a standard contract to reward his breakout year. It's also solid that the front office added another potential-filled guard to take his place on a two-way contract.

Barring something unforeseen, Milwaukee's 18-player roster - 15 standard and three two-way deals - is now set as the team braces to make a run down the stretch of the regular season and NBA Playoffs.
