The rest of the NBA is thrilled that the Milwaukee Bucks have been listening to trade offers for Giannis Antetokounmpo. However, with the NBA Trade Deadline just over a day away, there's still a chance the Bucks go big-game hunting rather than selling. Per NBA insider Jake Fischer, the Bucks are still in the mix for Ja Morant's services as the Memphis Grizzlies weigh offers for their star.
The Grizzlies’ asking price for Ja Morant has dropped significantly, sources say.

If we do end up seeing Memphis’ former All-Star point guard dealt over the next 27 hours, a team like Sacramento or Miami is going to do so at a low cost. I’ve been told not to discount Milwaukee… https://t.co/3P1XwYRejt
Bucks could flip the script on the rest of the NBA
For the first time, the Milwaukee Bucks have been legitimately fielding trade offers for their superstar. Teams like Miami and Golden State have been salivating at the opportunity to acquire him for years at this point. If the Bucks suddenly pivot and once again start being the team making the phone calls on players rather than taking them, opponents will lose their minds.
A trade for Ja Morant is far more up Jon Horst's alley than accepting defeat and trading away Giannis. In fact, despite all of the chatter about Milwaukee trading Giannis, Marc Stein (subscription required), the Bucks are still not fully intent on trading him. They believe that with a top pick in the upcoming NBA Draft, they could reportedly get back on the right track. A trade for a star might help as well.
For years, when things have looked bleak for Milwaukee, Horst has found ways to acquire star players one way or another. Jrue Holiday. Damian Lillard. Myles Turner. Could Ja Morant be next? Milwaukee's odds aren't incredibly favorable compared to other suitors, but that hasn't stopped them in the past. If there is a pathway, Horst will explore it.
Interestingly, the Milwaukee Bucks may be able to get Morant for cheap. As Fischer noted, the asking price for the star point guard has decreased. There's no telling what the Grizzlies want, but if he is on the block for a discount, he's worth exploring. Even if Giannis doesn't commit right away, he could be enticed by teaming up with another All-Star.
There's no telling what happens over the next 24 hours. The Milwaukee Bucks could trade Giannis. They may keep him. They may keep him and add a star. No one knows, but the Bucks are currently the center of attention. If they pull the rug out from under everyone and keep No. 34 on the payroll, it will undeniably ruffle some feathers.
