Earlier this season, Cam Thomas was battling a hamstring issue with the Brooklyn Nets. Now with the Milwaukee Bucks, fans were worried about Thomas after Doc Rivers said the guard is being kept on a minutes limit due to that hamstring issue. Yet, Thomas cleared the air and sounded like someone who is feeling good and not being bothered by it much.

"I've been fine for months... I'm fine. Ready to go. Healthy as ever."

The hamstring injury Thomas suffered in Brooklyn cost him 20 games earlier this year, sidelining him from November 5 to December 27. While it makes sense to monitor his minutes, as hamstring strains can be complicated, Thomas made it clear he's ready to give it his all.

Bucks need a healthy Cam Thomas down the stretch

Milwaukee fans were terrified when Rivers revealed Thomas' minutes restriction following the victory over New Orleans. The guard has been a needle-mover since he came aboard, and the thought of him not playing at 100 percent was worrisome, as there was a risk of reinjury. The Milwaukee Bucks have been banged up beyond belief this season, and they didn't need their prized newcomer injured.

Thankfully, it sounds like Thomas is good to go, and the Milwaukee Bucks will need him. Since coming aboard via the buyout market, Thomas has instantly given this bench some life. Across his five games with the team, he's now averaging 18.4 points while shooting 53.1 percent from the floor. As Giannis Antetokounmpo remains out, every single one of those points has been valuable to this offense.

He's been that productive in exactly 20 minutes per game. Imagine what he's capable of when the Milwaukee Bucks lift that minutes limit. Even an extra five or so minutes could mean 10 more points from the guard, who has gone on a scoring heater a few times already in Milwaukee. An extra 10 minutes on the floor could take this Milwaukee offense to another level.

With Thomas declaring himself healthy, the big question mark now is when the Bucks will get Giannis back in the lineup. He last played in a January 23 defeat to the Denver Nuggets and remains on the sidelines as he recovers from a calf strain. Antetokounmpo and Thomas have the makings to be a formidable one-two punch on the offensive end when both are healthy.

Thomas is already one of the most valuable trade season additions across the NBA, and Milwaukee didn't have to give up anything to get him.
