Bucks keep getting gifted more justification to go all-in on next target

The Eastern Conference is weak. If they want to make a run, they can, but moves are needed.

The Milwaukee Bucks are currently six games below the .500 mark and sit outside of the Play-In. Yet, there isn't much reason to abandon all hope just yet. Why? Well, they aren't exactly playing in a loaded Eastern Conference. They are just six games behind the fourth spot and six and a half from the third spot in the East. If they have any fight in them, they can make a run and make the postseason.

Now, given how the Milwaukee Bucks have played this season, it's far easier said than done to ask them to reel off six or seven wins in a row. They've only won back-to-back games four times and have yet to win three straight. As constructed, the Bucks have a lot of issues. Yet, this weak conference is all the more reason why the Bucks should make a move to beef up the roster and hope to make a run.

A trade could go a long way for the Milwaukee Bucks

Over the last few weeks, the Milwaukee Bucks have been linked to every available trade target in the rumor mill. They are leaving no stone unturned, and understandably so. Rather than wasting a year of Giannis Antetokounmpo's prime and riding it out with this roster, if the Bucks want to keep him happy, it makes all the sense in the world to bring in some help.

The current group has run its course. The Bucks can admit failure whenever. They have been holding back on it, but the ripping of the band-aid is inevitable. It appears they are firm that Doc Rivers will be staying put, at least for the rest of the season, but that doesn't mean the roster should stay the same. If they stay put, who is to say their current production will change?

Milwaukee needs a move. Who exactly they go after is anyone's best guess. However, it's clear that something needs to be done. The Eastern Conference is weaker now than it has been in years. If the Bucks have any fight in them, now is the time to show it. A move or two could be exactly what they need to quickly get the wheels turning.

The big question is whether or not the Bucks will entertain moving their prized 2031 or 2032 picks. Any deal Milwaukee makes would certainly become far more interesting with either attached, but as Giannis Antetokounmpo's future with the franchise remains up in the air, the Bucks may be hesitant to include them. They also risk losing him if they keep those picks and continue to falter.

Without a doubt, they are stuck between a rock and a hard place. Yet, if the Bucks feel like they have a target who can turn the tide in a weakened East, they should swiftly pounce. It's do-or-die time.
