Despite a lot of their moves being announced, the Milwaukee Bucks haven't made many of their deals official yet, and it's largely due to financial hold-ups. The Bucks are still working out the kinks, and with more moves needing to happen, it's clear that the next transaction up to bat should be waiving guard Vasilije Micic, as he's likely not even going to set foot in Milwaukee anytime soon.

Bucks need to buy out guard (it's only a matter of time)

The Milwaukee Bucks buying out Micic isn't just speculation. It's only a matter of time. Even before he came over in a trade with the Charlotte Hornets recently, there was chatter that the guard would likely be heading back to Europe to continue his basketball career. It's one of the reasons why they gave up Pat Connaughton and two second-round picks to get him. It's a cost-cutting move.

The hold-up very well may be just how much of the money Micic is willing to sacrifice to get out of his current NBA contract. Obviously, the Bucks would like to save as much as possible.

It appears the Micic situation may be what is holding up Milwaukee's other moves. Myles Turner still isn't officially a Buck. Neither is Gary Harris. Gary Trent Jr. and Jericho Sims are waiting to be officially welcomed back to the team. The only official move Milwaukee has made is re-signing Bobby Portis to his brand-new deal.

It feels inevitable that they will all happen, but the Milwaukee Bucks must figure out Micic's situation before any of that.

Once they get everything sorted, the Milwaukee Bucks can finally start making some of these quality moves official. Myles Turner offers the Bucks youth and defense at center. Re-signing Ryan Rollins to a new three-year deal helps Milwaukee lock in an up-and-coming guard. Gary Trent Jr. taking another team-friendly deal gives Milwaukee a fiery sharpshooter who can take over any game.

Of course, getting things resolved with Micic also makes future moves easier. The Bucks are one of the teams rumored to be interested in Bradley Beal once he departs Phoenix. Maybe they are also in the hunt for a veteran guard, such as Chris Paul, to help mentor the young guns and provide quality depth in the backcourt. Time will tell, but only when the ongoing hold-up ultimately gets settled.
