The Golden State Warriors are seemingly coming to terms with the fact that they won't be the next team Giannis Antetokounmpo plays for. As ESPN's Anthony Slater discussed during an appearance on 95.7 The Game, the team doesn't have the same level of "thirst" in pursuing a big-name star like Giannis. If they still want to pursue upgrades, perhaps they could call the Bucks about Myles Turner.
Anthony Slater: Warriors don't have the same "level of thirst" to go big-game hunting, as they've had over the last 18 months@anthonyVslater | @WillardAndDibs pic.twitter.com/oxu8lwU9JT

Warriors have question marks at center
While Slater says the Warriors may not be hungry for a star, that doesn't mean they will stand pat this summer. Slater says they would likely love to add "a couple more mid-prime" names to the roster. The recently turned 30-year-old Myles Turner feels like he fits that description, potentially serving as the perfect summer target to beef up the frontcourt.
With Kristaps Porzingis, Al Horford, and Quinten Post all eligible to hit free agency this summer, there are plenty of questions surrounding Golden State's center rotation. If Porzingis leaves, whether due to a better offer elsewhere or the Warriors being concerned about his availability, Turner could be the perfect pivot to maximize the final years of Stephen Curry's prime.
This scenario is fueled by the Warriors reportedly having shown interest in the center previously, per NBA insider Jake Fischer (subscription required).
Bucks could get a solid return for Turner
If the Milwaukee Bucks trade Giannis this summer, doing the same with Turner would make plenty of sense soon after. The team would immediately enter a rebuild, with a clear objective of gathering as many assets as possible. If the Warriors truly are desperate to make the most of Curry's final years, perhaps the Bucks could get a nice return on top of a Giannis deal.
The big question would be how much the Warriors like the idea of adding Turner. Could they like him enough to give up the 11th pick in this upcoming draft class? That would be a dream scenario for the Milwaukee Bucks, giving them picks 10 and 11, in addition to what they get for Giannis. Yet, it's fair to think the Warriors would like to keep that pick and send over a different asset.
Before anything starts, the Milwaukee Bucks have to get things situated with Giannis. No one knows whether he will be with the Bucks next year. His future will be directly tied to what happens with Myles Turner, in all likelihood.
