The Milwaukee Bucks had no clear answer as to who would be their second-leading scorer leading up to last season. A year later, they have no answer as to who will be first in the pecking order. During the first three preseason contests, the Bucks have had a different scorer in each matchup, leaving one of the team's most pressing questions unanswered.

Everyone is getting a trial run early

In the opener, Ryan Rollins led the way with 15 points, commanding the offense. In game two, seven Milwaukee Bucks scored double-digit points, but Myles Turner was the leading scorer with 19 points. Tyler Herro, whom many thought would take the reins from day one, finally upped his productivity and finished with 18 points.

It never hurts to have countless players flex first-option potential, especially in the preseason when everyone is trying to showcase their worth, but there are very few teams that don't know who will be their go-to guy this season. It adds intrigue—or worry, depending on how you look at it—to what the Milwaukee Bucks are trying to build post-Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Herro still feels in the driver's seat

While Myles Turner had his time to shine, the top-scorer battle still feels like a two-man race between Herro and Rollins. What will likely give Herro the edge is his defense—or lack thereof.

Rollins, a stellar defender, will be tasked with masking Herro's shortcomings on that end by taking on the challenging backcourt assignments every night. That could very well take away from his offensive production. As Rollins uses energy on defense, it could drain him at least a little bit offensively. Herro, though, will be well-rested and ready to score at will.

Also, he has the All-Star pedigree to his name, having shown what he can do when he has the ball in his hands. A slow start doesn't mean he cannot get back to or exceed his best numbers. Sure, Rollins could get there, as he's still young and rapidly improving, but for now, Herro is still in front.

With two games left on their preseason slate, there is still plenty of time for anyone on the Milwaukee Bucks to make a statement. Maybe Kel'el Ware, who has been enjoying a nice breakout, joins the fray. Perhaps Herro builds off his last showing and has another excellent game. There is no telling what the team might have in store for everyone.
