Cole Anthony has decided to follow in his father's footsteps. After inking a new deal with the Bucks, Anthony has decided to wear No. 50, the same number his father, Greg Anthony, wore after signing with the team during the 2001-02 NBA season, his final stop before retirement. Greg Anthony reacted to the news on X, also known as Twitter, by simply saying "#GoBucks" with a few choice emojis.

Cole Anthony follows in his father's footsteps with the Bucks
It's not too shocking that Anthony has decided to rock No. 50 in Milwaukee, given that he also wore in during his five-year stint with the Orlando Magic. His father's ties to the franchise likely made it all the more appealing, though. How many father-son duos can say they both wore the same number for the same franchise? Not very many.
Though the Milwaukee Bucks got Greg Anthony during the final stop of his career, when he was 34, they are getting a much younger Anthony in his son, who is 25. The guard fits seamlessly within the team's ongoing youth movement this summer, and he should be a sparkplug both as a locker room presence and as an on-court producer.
The most pressing question is where Anthony fits into Milwaukee's rotation. Does he come off the bench? Does he have an opportunity to start at point guard? With Damian Lillard gone, there is no clear-cut answer. If Anthony impresses, the job is likely within reach. Of course, he will have to earn that honor, as Kevin Porter Jr. and Ryan Rollins are both also in the hunt.
No matter when he checks into the game, there will be plenty of nostalgia on display when another Anthony rocking No. 50 sets foot on the Bucks basketball court for the first time in over 20 years.
During his brief stint with the Milwaukee Bucks, Anthony averaged 7.2 points, 3.3 assists, 1.8 boards, and 1.2 steals per game. He appeared in 25 games, including three starts.
