More reports continue to surface regarding the Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo, with their future gearing towards a potential parting of ways. His next team is already written in the stars. ESPN's Shams Charania reported that the team was close to accepting an offer from the Miami Heat in February.

"Team sources said the Bucks seriously considered the Heat's offer, which centered onTyler Herro, Kel'el Ware, other players and multiple draft picks and pick swaps. Milwaukee contemplated moving forward with Miami on Feb. 4. Ownership, however, believed the best move would be to hold on to Antetokounmpo and receive better offers in the summer. The Bucks informed the Heat on the morning of Feb. 5 that they would not accept a deal."

Giannis looks set to take his talents to Florida

Name a superstar, and Miami has been in the running to acquire their services. It has been no different with Giannis. It is not just a new rumor; it has been circling for multiple years without any real traction. Now, the online jersey swap graphics may finally come to fruition, as the Bucks legitimately contemplated Miami's offer.

Miami itself is an attractive place for many NBA players, with the Heat themselves continuing to be a mainstay within the playoffs. Erik Spoelstra is still in charge and would be comfortably the best head coach Giannis has had in his career. For the Heat, they would still have a strong roster with Bam Adebayo, Norman Powell, and solid role players to surround Giannis with, while having the assets to potentially pull the trade off.

The saga has become very tiring and frustrating for the fanbase and for those in and around the building. Charania said, "coaches and players were exhausted by the discussion and dilemma regarding his future this season, creating a tense environment in the locker room," which has a level of irony as the ESPN reporter has been at the forefront of the conversation and stories.

What the trade offer could look like for the Bucks

With the Bucks delaying the deal, they are clearly targeting further draft picks, with teams being able to move more future picks around the NBA Draft. Herro is a Milwaukee native and will have to be in the deal for financial reasons, with Ware being a strong piece for the team to build around moving forward in the frontcourt.

The picks are where the Bucks see the real value. They made it clear that any deal would have to involve a blue-chip prospect and multiple picks. Looking at previous deals for Desmond Bane and Mikal Bridges, the Bucks will likely be targeting more than four or five first-round picks, with extra pick swaps to bulk up the deal and maximize the value Milwaukee gets from moving their superstar.

It has been a tumultuous few weeks for the Bucks. The season is over with them out of Play-In contention. Giannis and the Bucks are at odds over his playing status, and now the NBA is investigating that with both teams publicly arguing. Not the best of times to be a Bucks fan.

This whole season has been tiring. On the court issues, off the court issues. Reports left, right, and center that conflict with each other. However, it seems like the writing may be on the wall now with the two parting ways. If Giannis is to leave this offseason, the Miami Heat look to be the frontrunners and that conversation will once again take place this summer.
