The Giannis Antetokounmpo trade has been completed, but the remnants of the Antetokounmpo era have yet to be erased from the Milwaukee Bucks. Because two of the players that the Bucks specifically traded for to help Antetokounmpo are still clogging up their roster: Myes Turner and Kyle Kuzma. Both of those guys need to be traded.
Before the Bucks can officially move on from the Antetokounmpo era, they need to find a way to trade Turner and Kuzma. Ideally before the start of the upcoming season, though that seems highly unlikely at this point. Neither of them fit what the Bucks are trying to do anymore, and in all honesty, they were ill-advised additions in the first place.
Milwaukee never should have signed Turner, and it never should have traded for Kuzma either. And now, the Bucks have to deal with two bad contracts on their books even after trading Antetokounmpo.

For years, the Bucks were doing everything possible to put Antetokounmpo in the best possible position to win a championship. Back in 2021, their moves worked out for the best.
They made a trade for Jrue Holiday that helped get them over the hump. The Bucks won an NBA championship in 2021, but ever since then their moves have been bad.
Injuries caught up to the Bucks for a few years, eliminating them from the playoff picture a few times, so they eventually made a swing trade for Kuzma in the middle of a season.
The Bucks shipped out Khris Middleton, who was an integral piece of the organization for years. The deal brought Kuzma to town from the Washington Wizards.
Then, not long after that, in the summer of 2025, the Bucks decided to waive and stretch Damian Lillard so that they could bring Turner on board in free agency.
Both Turner and Kuzma are on bad contracts. Neither has proven to be a winning player for the Bucks, and neither looks like the type of guy that you want to pay a ton of money to.
The Milwaukee is stuck with them. Nobody wants to take on those two contracts. So, the Bucks have to look at the remnants of the Antetokounmpo era even though they have already traded their former franchise star.
That's a problem the Bucks have to deal with. An issue that is a constant reminder of how they completely messed up the end of the Antetokounmpo era in Milwaukee. Before they can move on from Antetokounmpo, the BUcks need to trade Turner and Kuzma.
