The Milwaukee Bucks turned plenty of heads when they assigned NBA veteran Terence Davis to their G-League squad, the Wisconsin Herd, before the season.

Davis, coming off an Achilles injury suffered last January, would use the opportunity to rehab and get back on the court to show what he still has left in the tank. Many immediately started pondering the idea of bringing him to Milwaukee down the line, as this team is always hunting for wings. Of course, before any of that ever becomes a thought, Davis had to show his skills.

At Herd Media Day, Davis detailed how he was recovering well from his injury and how he was ready to help the team. So far, it's been a slow ramp-up process for the 27-year-old wing due to the nature of this injury, but Davis is really starting to regain his footing as of late, and he looks like he has plenty of good basketball left in him.

Davis has been a bright spot in the Herd's last two games.

In a December 11 meeting with the Motor City Cruise, Davis posted 19 points, two rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block while shooting 6-of-12 from the floor, including 4-of-7 from downtown. The veteran did a bit of everything for the Herd, and though they lost, he was certainly one of the biggest sparkplugs keeping them in that game until the end.

Against the Cleveland Charge two days later, Davis had an even more impactful outing with 22 points, nine assists and six rebounds on 8-of-16 shooting, including 6-of-12 from deep. Obviously, it was the scoring output from Davis that stood out the most, but his facilitating was also on point, getting his teammates involved by finishing just short of double-digit assists.

In five total games, Terence Davis is now averaging 14.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists while hitting 45.7 percent of his 3-pointers.

It's a small sample size, sure, but Davis has looked great for a player who suffered an Achilles tear less than a year ago. He's been a do-it-all player for the Herd, scoring, shooting, passing, rebounds, being a disruptive force on defense and serving as a veteran voice in a young locker room. If he keeps this up, his NBA comeback dreams could potentially come to fruition.

The Milwaukee Bucks currently don't have room for another player on their standard roster, but if they open one in the coming months, Davis should be among those considered.
