3. Making the All-Star Game again and winning an award

One way that NBA players can earn respect or get it back is to put up an All-Star-caliber season. We know that Damian Lillard can do that and more.

Last season, many were questioning his selection to the starting lineup ahead of Jalen Brunson, Tyrese Maxey, Donovan Mitchell and Trae Young in the All-Star Game. If Lillard can have another strong statistical season and the Milwaukee Bucks remain more settled, he has every chance of being named to the starting lineup again.

Getting into and potentially winning the 3-Point Contest again would also silence the doubters. Only Larry Bird and Craig Hodges have won the contest on three occasions, and if Lillard wins, he will join those two in winning three as well.

Another way for Lillard to silence the doubters would be to win an award like the Clutch Player of the Year. Hitting clutch shots late on will always get attention with close games being won and the frenzy it causes on social media. We saw Lillard do this against the Sacramento Kings last season when his buzzer-beater three won the game for Milwaukee.

With modern fandom being so social media based, getting those clips circulating again could be a way to not only earn votes for the All-Star Game but also win back the respect he deserves. He will be in better shape this season than last.

With his family sorted and now a full offseason in Milwaukee, the Bucks' closer can then make those shots to come through for his teammates and take home an individual award, as well as leading the team to success.

These are just three ways that Damian Lillard can silence the doubters this season, and there is no doubt he will do more than that.
