Reach - Tristan da Silva
Over the last few months, Tristan da Silva's draft stock has risen mightily. Most mocks, including the one from ESPN, have him going in the mid to late teens after he was mocked to go to the Bucks in the second round earlier this year by The Athletic (subscription required). It's a reach that he may be available when the Milwaukee Bucks are on the board, but it's not impossible.
For years, the Bucks have been hunting for a versatile complementary forward who can improve this team on both sides of the court, but they just have not been able to hit on it. The 23-year-old da Silva could very well be the answer, as the 6-foot-8 forward is a solid defender who can hold his own vs. bigger wings while also lighting it up from three, shooting 39.5 percent this past season.
One of Milwaukee's most dangerous lineups features Giannis Antetokounmpo at center, but the team hasn't been able to utilize it to its fullest potential since P.J. Tucker left. Using his height, defense and outside shooting, da Silva could be a quality fill-in for that role. The sheer amount of open looks he'd get on the perimeter alongside Giannis, Damian Lillard and Khris Middleton could help him thrive.
With four years of college experience under his belt, da Silva may also be more ready to contribute right away at the NBA level compared to some of the more raw prospects. Milwaukee's title window is open, and with the roster aging, they need to capitalize now. Adding a piece that could be inserted right away is likely the best play here. If da Silva is available, he'd be a great fit.
