It was clear that he would not be back in Milwaukee.

With the Milwaukee Bucks signing Stanley Umude and Anzejs Pasecniks while Ryan Rollins had an impressive Summer League stint, it felt like the team's three two-way players were set in stone.

That left TyTy Washington as the odd man out. It didn't take long for Washington to find a new home, as ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Washington is headed to the Phoenix Suns on a two-way contract. Though Washington never played for him, the guard will join forces with a key figurehead in Milwaukee Bucks history, as he'll be coached by none other than Mike Budenholzer.

Former Bucks unite with the Suns

Washington only played 11 games for the Milwaukee Bucks this past season, but he was a staple on their G-League team, the Wisconsin Herd. In 24 appearances, he averaged 21.3 points, 8.3 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game, showing signs of potential. It's a bit surprising the Bucks let him go after leading the Herd so well, but such is life.

It'll now be up to Mike Budenholzer and the rest of this Phoenix staff to get the best out of the guard. Washington almost certainly will not be a key cog for Budenholzer during his first season at the helm in Phoenix, especially with the additions of Tyus Jones and Monte Morris at the point guard position, but perhaps the youngster could grow and develop in the system.

With Washington gone, all eyes will be on Ryan Rollins, as he'll have a golden opportunity to get more touches with the Herd this coming season. If the young point guard plays as well as he did throughout Summer League, making his way onto a standard NBA roster could certainly be in his future. He could end up being a hidden gem find for the Milwaukee Bucks.

As for Milwaukee, it appears their 18-man roster is now set, though it's possible general manager Jon Horst could always opt to shake things up with a last-minute trade. In an offseason that's been full of surprises, anything is possible.
