Kris Dunn, LA Clippers

Although Marcus Smart was the big fish the Milwaukee Bucks checked in on during last year's trade deadline festivities, he wasn't the lone player of that mold they expressed interest in. Per Jake Fischer, the Bucks also had eyes on Kris Dunn, who was then with the Utah Jazz. Milwaukee ultimately went with Patrick Beverley to add more defense, but Dunn would have been a strong addition.

After struggling to find his niche early in his career as he bounced around the NBA, Dunn found his calling as a defense first guard. He's flirted with All-Defensive consideration on multiple occasions, showcasing his strength on that side of things. Furthermore, he's also shown growth as a shooter, hitting 39.5 percent of his triples over the past two seasons.

Dunn would fit seamlessly with this bench, giving them another go-to defender in the backcourt next to Delon Wright. Those two could wreak some havoc defensively, giving the Milwaukee Bucks a huge boost on the perimeter.

With Dunn having just signed with LA Clippers, this offseason, it's unclear if they'd be willing to trade him so soon. However, if they do ponder it, his $5.2 million salary makes him a reasonable target for the cash-strapped Milwaukee Bucks. Realistically, they could keep their core pieces intact and move Pat Connaughton, as well as draft capital, to pitch a compelling offer.

Trade targets likely won't start surfacing until we see what the Milwaukee Bucks look like on the floor and what areas they need a boost in, but all three of these players could surely help.
