Weeks after the Milwaukee Bucks' season came to a close, Giannis Antetokounmpo was spotted watching EuroLeague hoops.

The Greek Freak watched younger brother Kostas Antetokounmpo become a EuroLeague Champion, which was undoubtedly a proud moment for him. While the action was ongoing, a photograph was taken of Antetokounmpo along with some pretty recognizable faces in basketball, including Scottie Pippen, Dennis Schroder and Vasilje Micic.

Obviously, Scottie Pippen, who retired in 2004, hasn't been on Milwaukee's radar lately, but the other two players certainly were in recent memory.

The Milwaukee Bucks' links to these former targets

Of the two names, Schroder is the more recognizable target. Milwaukee's interest in the guard dates back to 2020 when they tried acquiring him before their blockbuster move for Jrue Holiday. Interest was reignited back in 2022, this time when Schroder was a member of the Boston Celtics, but they again failed to land him.

Whether it was in 2020 or 2022, the point guard always made sense as a target for Milwaukee due to the team's desperate need for more shot-creators and facilitators.

Micic was more of a blink-and-you-miss-it rumor. Jake Fischer, then with Bleacher Report, reported the Bucks were among teams interested in adding the point guard in 2022, but his draft rights being tied up with the OKC Thunder made things quite difficult. Micic, 30, just finished up his rookie season, splitting the year between the OKC Thunder and Charlotte Hornets.

The odds of the Milwaukee Bucks going after either of these two point guards anytime soon is slim, given the roster's many other needs. Yet, with Patrick Beverley's future in town uncertain, it's not out of the question that the Bucks could reignite that interest if they need a new backup ball-handler.

It's eye-catching to see the Greek Freak alongside the pair, even if it's just to watch some basketball. Giannis is known to recruit behind the scenes, whether it's with players like Bobby Portis or Damian Lillard, so it's always interesting to see him alongside other NBA players outside of Milwaukee.
