The Bucks are sticking with blue, allegedly.

For years now, Nike has been releasing special City Edition jerseys for every team across the NBA, and Milwaukee Bucks fans have typically not been so hot on them.

The problem for most Bucks fans is that in three of the past four seasons, the jerseys have primarily featured blue as the main color. When you think Bucks, you don't think blue jerseys, and you certainly don't think blue court either. On paper, though, it makes sense, as the blue is meant to represent the rivers that flow through Milwaukee, very fitting for a "City Edition jersey."

Still, that doesn't mean fans have to like how they look. If they've been upset about the blue over the past couple of years, they won't be happy after seeing the recently leaked 2024-25 City Edition.

Bucks are sticking with blue City Edition jerseys

Out of the four blue jerseys the Milwaukee Bucks have worn over the past few years, these might be the least appealing. Whether it was another shade of blue or a hint of green, those jerseys all had an attribute that at least helped them stick out a bit. There is no such thing with these, as they are quite plain, not doing much to catch the eye.

What fans truly want is a return of the purple jerseys from the days of Ray Allen, Glenn Robinson and Sam Cassell. Sure, as a "City Edition" jersey, the blue ones may represent more, but the nostalgia of the purple would be unmatched. Seeing Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard and Khris Middleton in those iconic purple jerseys would make for a picture worth framing.

The Bucks did briefly bring back a form of the purple jerseys for the 2022-23 NBA season, but they were known as the "Classic" jerseys. In time, perhaps Milwaukee Bucks fans will get to witness their beloved purple jerseys make a comeback. For now, they are sticking with the blue.

Fans will certainly judge this leaked picture to no end, but perhaps the jerseys will begin to grow on people when they see what they look like in action. Ultimately, if the Milwaukee Bucks are winning basketball games while wearing these blue jerseys, fans won't be too upset, in all likelihood.

Now, we wait to see the blue basketball court that the Bucks will play on when they wear these.
