3. Alec Burks

One name that has been on the radar for the Bucks for multiple years now is Alec Burks. He has been in constant trade rumours and following his trade from the Detroit Pistons to the New York Knicks, he is now entering free agency. At 33 years old, he won't be asking for the $10.4M he was being paid this season, but he did show value for New York by putting up 14.8 points on 42.9 percent from deep in the six playoff games he appeared in for his heavily injured team.

This season he averaged 10.4 points on splits of .369/.376/.868 which if replicated would be ideal for the Bucks. Burks is slightly bigger than the other two guards on this last at 6-foot-6 and that size would be of great help at both the shooting guard position but he could also slide to the three and guard bigger opposing players.

He is most notably seen as a shot creator but has actually been a solid defender throughout his career with a career average defensive rating of 111.6. This has however dropped off these past two seasons to the 119 mark. Schemed right with Rivers and this should drop back to his normal ratings as he never passed 115 until the 2022-23 season.

Adding another shot creator in the backcourt would only be a positive for the Bucks and help take the workload off the likes of Lillard, Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo in tight matches. Knowing there is another guy that can make a shot from anywhere is always a benefit to any team.

Burks may be the highest value of these three shooting guards but if he is willing to take a cut deal then the Bucks should definitely be going after him.
