Giannis Antetokounmpo

Due to Milwaukee's lack of defensive personnel across the roster last season, more responsibility was given to Giannis Antetokounmpo. Considering he already had to carry much of the workload on offense due to injuries to other top players - becoming the first player to average 30 points on 60 percent field goal shooting ever - that was a lot to ask, even from the best two-way player in the NBA.

Wright won't relieve Giannis Antetokounmpo of his duties defensively, but he can help make things far easier for him nightly by simply being another perimeter defender on the court. The combo guard can pick up some of the slack that would typically fall onto the shoulders of the Greek Freak, allowing him to not exert himself entirely defensively every single possession.

On that same front, Wright could help Giannis and the Bucks when they go with their small lineups, placing Antetokounmpo at center. Wright's strong defense and versatility could make him a quality fit in those particular lineups, slowing down opponents before they get to the hoop, where Giannis will be waiting - as highlighted in the Lopez section, while also thriving when the team is switching heavily.

Due to his defense, Delon Wright should quickly befriend plenty of his teammates and coaches with the Milwaukee Bucks.
