Even with limited financial flexibility, the Milwaukee Bucks have made solid moves this offseason, highlighted by the surprising signing of Gary Trent Jr.

Trent will join the Bucks in 2024-25 on a veteran's minimum deal, an absolute steal for a 25-year-old of his caliber. Given how well he should fit in with this group, he's almost certainly going to be one of the team's most important pieces throughout next season. No one should be shocked if Trent is the team's starting shooting guard when the season opens.

That said, let us highlight five Milwaukee Bucks who will benefit the most from Trent's presence when the NBA season begins.

Doc Rivers

Prior to the signing of Trent, many were unsure of who exactly Milwaukee's fifth starter would end up being. Doc Rivers would have plenty of options to choose from, but now, he has a clear-cut option to take the reigns from the moment he walks into the building. Right off the bat, that takes a significant amount of pressure off Rivers' shoulders, as this won't be much of a competition.

Knowing that Trent will likely be the fifth starter also gives the coach more room to experiment with his second unit. Rather than starting one of AJ Green, Taurean Prince, Delon Wright or Bobby Portis, he can now bring them all off of the bench, beefing up the reserve unit while allowing him to be more creative with his lineup combinations in different situations.

Obviously, having as many good players as possible will help the coach. In this case, he gets to work with an electric shooting guard.
