The Milwaukee Bucks are focused on winning a championship. It is why they traded for Damian Lillard and fired head coach Adrian Griffin midseason. Everything is about building a winner around Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Bucks have flaws but do not count out their stars in the playoffs.

Giannis and Dame are still working things out. It is still the first season of their partnership, and the attacks are slowly becoming lethal. They are two of the best offensive players in the world, but the Bucks miss Jrue Holiday’s defense. Things will only improve, but Milwaukee does not want to wait.

They added veterans to round out their roster. Experience and know-how matter, especially in the playoffs, but those moves have not always worked out. The Bucks have multiple players teetering on the edge of the league, and these men could struggle to find a gig next season if they do not show more down the stretch and into the playoffs.

4. Thanasis Antetokounmpo

The older Antetokounmpo continues to be a non-factor for the Bucks. He is averaging 0.9 points and 0.5 assists in 4.7 minutes per game over 29 contests this season. The 31-year-old will be limited to garbage time in the playoffs and is simply not good enough to play consistent minutes in the NBA.

Giannis wants his brother on the team, but what if the Bucks need that roster spot? They have ten players under guaranteed contracts for next season. It bumps to 11 if Thanasis is back. That would be without Malik Beasley, Jae Crowder, Patrick Beverley, and Danilo Gallinari. Milwaukee will certainly need wing and forward help. They will be limited to minimum contracts in free agency, but veterans are often eager to join a contender.

If the Bucks run out of roster spots, Thanasis should be the first to go. Expect him to be back next season, but his place on the roster is something to watch as the franchise adds depth.
