The Milwaukee Bucks are all-in on winning the championship. They traded for Damian Lillard in the offseason and just parted with head coach Adrian Griffin to bring in Doc Rivers. The Bucks plan to do whatever is necessary to boost their title odds, and they would love to upgrade their roster before the Feb. 8 trade deadline.

It won’t be easy after going virtually all-in to get Lillard. Milwaukee has two second-round draft picks and a couple of secondary swaps available to offer. The Bucks have interest in Dejounte Murray, but acquiring him is nearly impossible given their available assets.

Who could they add before the deadline? The Bucks would love to find an upgrade, and these moves are worth exploring.

5. Bucks add depth

Milwaukee will run an eight-man rotation in the playoffs, but do they have enough trusted options for new head coach Doc Rivers? Jae Crowder's return from injury has been massive, but he is likely their seventh man. Who fills that final spot in the playoffs?

The Bucks would love to have options. They could trade Pat Connaughton, who has struggled this season, for a familiar guard and a 3-and-D wing if they find the right team. The Bulls are rumored to be sellers and could be the perfect trade partner.

Carter played for the Bucks in 2022 and 2023. He offers strong defense and floor spacing off the bench with the ability to handle the ball. The 6’1 guard struggled to stay in the playoff rotation, but he could be impactful in the regular season with Craig offering another wing to turn to in the postseason.

Pat Connaughton’s struggles make this trade difficult to pull off, but the Bulls may be willing to take on his contract with two second-round draft picks. The Milwaukee Bucks likely search for a more impactful option, but the Bulls are a solid team to turn to if they want depth.
